Supervision details
I am a training analyst (Jungian), a psychotherapist, and a UKCP accredited supervisor. I am a member of the UKCP and the International Association of Jungian Analysts as well as being a training member of the Guild of Analytical Psychologists (G.A.P.) and of the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP). I provide a space where counsellors and psychotherapists can talk safely about their work and where together we can explore the symbolic and unconscious material brought into the counsellor's and psychotherapist’s consulting room. I also support psychotherapists and counsellors to work with clients' dreams exploring the symbolic language of the dream to understand the deeper experiences of the client. My previous work as a psychiatric social worker and family therapist with children and families informs my current practice. As part of supervision, I facilitate psychotherapists and counsellors to work with family histories to understand transgenerational patterning and the possible effects of this in a person’s life.I offer face-to-face and online sessions.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
