Supervision details
As a COSRT/ Tavistock qualified therapist & experienced double Masters qualified supervisor I am pleased to be able to offer Clinical Supervision on Zoom and in Cardiff in the spacious and comfortable surrounds of the Penylan/Roath Practice (CF24 1DJ) which has easy parking in adjoining roads; also now in Chepstow (NP16 6AU. I have over 20 years experience of lecturing and supervising on two BACP & UKCP accredited Diplomas. I am the consultative supervisor for a Cardiff Primary Care Trust. I supervise cross-modality & CYP therapists within agency, NHS and private practice contexts. Sessions can run for either 50 or 90 minutes according to your needs. I am a Tavistock Institute qualified psychosexual therapist and completed 25 hours CPD with Robin Shohet, the co-author of the seminal text and seven-eyed model 'Supervision in the helping Professions'. A waiting area with WiFi, a rest room, and coffee & tea facilities are always available in both locations: all make this an ideal space to engage in what I hope is an enriching supervision process.Supervision should be a lively, collaborative & exciting space where you feel safe to test out ideas and explore any anxieties. As an experienced integrative existential lecturer & supervisor with a Masters in Supervision, I try to co-create a flexible space which leaves you feeling invigorated and resourced. I also offer Clinical Supervision for your couples counselling clients and am happy to do this either seperately or as combined session. You have a choice of either a 50 minute session or a 90 minute session depending on your personal and regulatory needs. I always welcome newly qualified counsellors as well as more established therapists. I am particularly happy to offer a deeply discounted rate of supervision for the first year of those newly qualified counsellors, starting out in private practice or similarly working for voluntary organisations. Please feel free to email to arrange a phone conversation to discuss supervision is more detail. I lectured on the BACP & UKCP accredited Counselling Diploma at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & in 2017 on the UKCP accredited Masters Psychotherapy Professional Qualification (bcpc.org). My fees are £80 for 50 minutes of supervision or £100 for 90 minutes.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
