Hello, and welcome to my supervision profile.

My understanding of the process of supervision, is that it is a relationship providing both support and the opportunity to learn. Therapeutic work can be potentially isolating, taking into account confidentiality, and the power of countertransferencial experience. The process of sharing and exploring ones work with another is frequently, I believe, essential in the process of grounding this experience into understanding.  I believe that the holding frame of the supervisory experience enables a freedom within which supervisee's can explore their work, and which facilitates both transformation and regeneration.

I encourage my Supervisee's to explore transference, countertransference, unconscious and semi-conscious experience, and parallel process in both themselves, their clients, and as they arise in supervision. I have theoretical knowledge of a broad range of modalities within which to frame these experiences.

As a Bodypsychotherapist I am always interested in the embodied experience of my supervisee's and how they experience the work with their clients from an embodiment perspective.  I will often work with my supervisee's with a focus on how they are experiencing their clients bodies, and their own, both in the work and as it arises within the supervision.

Gestalt work was a large part of my original training, and I have found that using experiential techniques such as empty chair work, or two cushion work to be effective within supervision.

I am happy to provide an educative role when necessary as a supervisor, guiding supervisee's towards further reading, and potential study if required.

I see myself as a flexible person who is comfortable to work out together with my supervisee's the approach that works best for them within supervision, and hopefully brings them the deepest fulfilment within their relationship to their working life.

If you would be interested in experiencing supervision with me, then please do get in touch.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
