My own modality is Integrative and Relational. I like to work wholistically and am happy to sit with a spiritual context. My work embraces Trauma models, Attachment theory, psychodynamic  & psycho-sexual theory .I have been practicing as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 15 years, have lectured Counselling at L5 & 6 (ie Degree & Diploma) and also supervise UKCP students and practitioners.                                                                                             MY APPROACH to your supervision: Integrative and relational and, I hope, creative. I use the Double Matrix (7 Eyed) model of Supervision as a backdrop to my work.                                                                                                                         MY PHILOSOPHY:I believe that the Supervision should be a nurturing, enabling and respectful relationship. There is a strongly supportive  & developmental theme to my work but also  hope that we can explore and learn around your client work together. I hope that honesty, integrity and curiosity will be hallmarks of our time & that you will find a safe place with me to offload all your queries, reactions, transferences & projections , successes and failures to your client work !! I believe that whoever you choose to work with , you should be able to be  honest and open with your Supervisor. That's why its important to get on together while still holding the Supervisory frame and remaining ethical & competent.I aim to  see you develop to be a safe practitioner & for you to know how to look after yourself in this difficult but exciting work . I love my work and will enjoy supporting you in yours.I am a teacher originally and now a highly qualified & very experienced Integrative practitioner. I have experience in bereavement counselling and working with trauma and more specifically with psycho-sexual issues. My work includes gender and identity issues as well as displacement, depression & anxiety. I enjoy working with and supervising couples work. As an INTEGRATIVE practitioner I take a wholistic/ transpersonal approach to my work and enjoy creative approaches. I might  use these in Supervision as well as my own client work in order to encourage an internal connection  which might help  make more sense of the inner world and behaviours.                                                 Charges: Graduates/Qualified: £65ph  Concession: students requiring fortnightly supervision. Once agreed, student rates wont change for the 3 years duration of training if sessions are weekly.

I work  on :  Tuesday, Wednesday &Thursdays                                                        NB ALL SUPERVISION IS NOW ON-LINE (zoom)                                                  My special interest is trauma for both individuals and couples.   If you wish to talk to me further about Supervision please do phone me. If you want to book an appointment I will suggest an Initial Assessment so that we can see if we suit each other. I believe it is vital that we are open should both feel that we can work together. COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
