Supervision details
Over the last 16 years or so I have worked as a supervisee with many supervisors; both in organisations (NHS and Relate) and in private practice. I have gained a lot from their different approaches and personalties. My supervision model mirrors my therapy model and is influenced by my core trainings in psychodynamic, systemic and mindfulness based models. In my psychotherapy practice I work with individuals and couples.I am also trained and qualified to work online and I am a senior online professional and supervisor with ACTO (Association of Counselling and Therapy Online).
I have trained in many different modalities over the years and I am happy to work across modalities and models of therapy. I am not trained to work with a CBT model.
I work collaboratively and relationally. I can provide support and mentoring to newly qualified therapists and also work in a collegial model with more experienced therapists. I have a fairly down to earth approach to both my psychotherapy and supervision work.
A preliminary meeting of 30 minutes is free of charge. At the moment I am only working online via Zoom.
I charge £80 for 1.5 hours of supervision and can offer one hour sessions charged at £60.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
