Supervision details
I am a BABCP-accredited CBT Psychotherapist who holds the qualification as a BABCP Clinical Supervisor. I have over 7 years of post-qualification experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions within both NHS primary care services and private practice.
My clinical areas of expertise include trauma/PTSD, OCD, ADHD and chronic illness. I further really enjoy working with social anxiety, panic disorder and low self-esteem.
While deeply rooted in traditional CBT protocols for depression and anxiety disorders, I specialise in helping supervisees ground their work in the psychological flexibility of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the soothing emotional regulation of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), which is perfect for clients struggling with deep-seated shame or self-criticism. Furthermore, as an EMDR therapist, I bring a robust trauma lens to conceptualisation, helping you recognise when processing blocks occur and how to safely navigate trauma presentations.
I believe supervision should be a safe, restorative space and my practice is deeply collaborative and evidence-led, ensuring that sessions move beyond simple case updates to actively foster a compassionate, reflective learning environment.
I am fully proficient in using the Cognitive Therapy Scale - Revised (CTS-R) to evaluate live or recorded sessions, offering constructive, encouraging feedback to refine your skills without the fear of judgment.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
