Supervision details

I believe supervision is a place where you should feel genuinely supported, challenged and valued. Becoming a therapist is a lifelong journey, and my role as a supervisor is to provide a safe, reflective space where you can bring your whole practice, including your uncertainties, questions, challenges and successes.

My approach is warm, empathic and relational. I aim to create a supervisory relationship where you feel able to think deeply, explore your clinical work honestly and develop your own unique therapeutic voice. I will support you in considering the client, the therapeutic relationship, ethical practice, your professional development and the impact of the work on you as a practitioner.

With a Level 6 equivalent qualification in clinical supervision , I bring together my counselling experience, psychological research background and understanding of how our own experiences, emotions and patterns can influence our therapeutic presence. I am passionate about helping therapists develop greater self-awareness, confidence and resilience.

I see supervision as holding the whole of your practice, not just the cases you bring. Alongside clinical reflection, we will pay attention to your wellbeing, boundaries, workload and self-care, recognising that caring for yourself is essential to caring well for others.

Whether you are newly qualified, developing your practice or an experienced therapist seeking reflective space, I offer supervision that is collaborative, compassionate and grounded in respect for your individual journey.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
