Supervision details
I offer individual clinical supervision for qualified CBT therapists who are looking for thoughtful and supportive supervision.
I am a BABCP-accredited CBT Psychotherapist with over 14 years’ experience working within the NHS, private practice and higher education. I am also a Senior Lecturer in CBT and have extensive experience teaching, supporting and developing CBT practitioners.
My approach to supervision is collaborative and practical. I aim to create a space where therapists can think openly about their work, develop confidence and strengthen their clinical skills without supervision becoming simply a case-management exercise.
Supervision can include:
• Case conceptualisation and formulation
• Working with complex or stuck cases
• Developing CBT skills and therapeutic confidence
• Reflecting on the therapeutic relationship and therapist processes
• Evidence-based treatment planning and interventions
• Professional development and maintaining high standards of CBT practice
• Support for therapists developing or establishing private practice
I particularly enjoy helping therapists step back from difficult cases, understand what may be maintaining the problem and identify a clearer way forward.
Supervision is available online and can be arranged as either regular ongoing supervision or occasional consultation around particular cases.
Please feel free to contact me for an initial conversation to see whether my approach to supervision would be a good fit for you.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
