About me

I'm an experienced  BABCP-registered and accredited psychotherapist. I worked for the NHS for 14 years as a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist as well as working as a Senior Lecturer teaching CBT to mature students on a professional master's programme.

As someone who has personally overcome depression, anxiety and PTSD, I very much enjoy helping others to find mental and emotional freedom. I teach from both my personal and professional experience and I have been training in the field of psychology for 20 years now. I'm also the author of the book; A Clear Mind which has been rated in the top 10 books in Applied Psychology.

I love working with clients who are keen to learn more about their psychology and how to better understand their minds to overcome their struggles.

I very much value being able to offer a highly personalised and private therapy experience for those looking for in-person therapy in Bournemouth and surrounding areas in Dorset, such as Poole and Wimborne.

I believe that everyone has the right to live a happy and good life, and I've found that good quality therapy can help with that.  As someone that has both personally overcome depression, anxiety and trauma, and professionally worked with over 6,000 clients, I know it's possible to transform your life.

I offer a range of evidence-based psychological services, including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Somatic Therapy.

My qualifications include:

  • Postgraduate certificate in psychological therapies

  • Certificate in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
  • Certified transformative coach
  • Plus hundreds of hours worth of additional training and workshops
  • I'm also fully insured, supervised, and DBS checked

Results you can expect
Most people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck or mentally busy. What clients often tell me towards the end of us working together is that they feel calmer, clearer and more in control. Their mind feels quieter and much of their anxieties and stresses have disappeared. Rather than just coping, people often rediscover a sense of ease, confidence, and perspective that carries into their work, relationships and everyday life.

I think the words that people most use during our time together is clarity and freedom.
