Supervision details

Effective supervision is more than a professional requirement. I offer collaborative and supportive supervision for counsellors and trainees, creating a relationship where you can explore your client work with openness, curiosity and compassion.

My approach is grounded in authenticity. I believe that the supervisory relationship should be both challenging and supportive. Together, we can reflect on clinical practice, ethical decision making, professional development, and the emotional impact of your therapeutic work. I want to help you maintain safe and effective practice.

Whether you are newly qualified, an experienced practitioner, or currently in training, I tailor  supervision to meet your individual needs. My aim is to provide a space where you feel able to celebrate successes, explore uncertainty without judgement, and develop your confidence and professional identity.

Supervision can include:

  • Reflection on client work and therapeutic process
  • Ethical dilemmas and professional practice Developing clinical skills and confidence
  • Managing risk and safeguarding
  • Exploring the impact of the work on you as a practitioner
  • Supporting professional growth and self-care

For me, productive supervision will nurture both you and the clients you support. Fostering reflection, resilience, and continuous learning.

Sessions are available online and in person (where applicable), on an individual basis.

I have completed the CPCAB Level 6 in Therapeutic Supervision and have been providing counselling supervision for more than 2 years.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
