Supervisor

Supervision details

I have extensive experience supervising trainees within the NHS, including doctoral trainees in Clinical and Counselling Psychology, as well as assistant psychologists and counsellors in training. I support supervisees in developing their clinical skills, psychological formulation, reflective practice, and professional confidence. I have also supervised more senior clinicians, including Band 7 psychologists, supporting leadership development and team integration.

My supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and structured. I draw on approaches such as Socratic questioning, role play, and experiential learning, tailoring my support to your level of experience. I also incorporate an integrative framework informed by the Seven-Eyed Supervision Model (Hawkins & Shohet), with attention to relational and systemic dynamics, including parallel processes.

I offer individual and group supervision, online or in person. Sessions provide a safe and supportive space to explore clinical work, develop skills, and reflect on professional challenges. Sessions are available for 30 or 60 minutes on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
