Supervision details
Hello and welcome. I offer nature-based supervision in person within a natural setting in Derbyshire for individuals and groups. I am qualified in Creative approaches to supervision through the London Centre of Psychodrama (2014) and I am an approved Lifespan Integration supervisor (2018).
I am interested in working creatively so that supervisees are more enabled and autonomous in processing their supervision material. I offer 'curious' nudges when needed and focus on asking questions that support explorations.
I value offering a place for my supervisees to reflect on the unconscious relational nuances that are often played out in the therapy room (or outdoor space!). We get curious together about the places they get stuck with their clients and I hold a safe and empathic space for practitioner vulnerability. We engage in reflecting on theoretical, as well as experiential, material to foster development and enable therapeutic efficacy.
Working with trauma, as most of us do, can be quite intense work. Although the healing of our client's trauma can be highly rewarding, the therapeutic process is not without it’s challenges, and can have accumulating deleterious effects on us as therapists/counsellors, if left unchecked. Therefore, practitioner self-care is an area I support my supervisees to hold awareness of.
My particular areas of interest is in Polyvagal attunement, embodiment, creative explorations, and ecological psychology. Working alongside nature is a passion for me that feeds and nourishes my spiritual view of life. I'm open to offering space for supervisees, who wish to engage from this perspective, when reflecting on their human relations work.
I am also an approved Lifespan Integration supervisor and training facilitator for psychological practitioners who are training in or qualified in lifespan integration therapy.
