Supervision details
I have been a registered clinical supervisor for many years (BPS RAPPS). I have provided supervision to psychologists and therapists in training as well as qualified clinicians, and both individual and group sessions. I have also provided the same for other heath care professionals including medical doctors. I have been involved in a clinical directorship/advisory role with a charity. My supervision experience also includes supporting university students completing research. I have been an expert in university course validation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
