Supervision details
I am a fully-qualified clinical supervisor (level 6) offering creative supervision to therapists of any modality. I have a particular interest in working with other art psychotherapists.
I am a warm, friendly and supportive supervisor who aims to create a nourishing space for growth and curious exploration. I am a down to earth person who isn't big on therapy language and has a sense of humour which I am not afraid to use sensitively in my work. My training as a psychodynamic art therapist means I am adept at working with the transference and countertransference in therapy.
I utilise creativity in my supervision work to help you to think about clients in a different way. I utilise various supervision models and am most comfortable with developmental models and the seven-eyed model.
Previously, I was safeguarding lead at Sheffield Mind and I am currently the safeguarding deputy at Share Psychotherapy, so I am confident with all safeguarding issues. I am familiar with the ethical codes of most major counselling/therapy governing bodies.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
