Supervision details
As a supervisor, I recognise the benefits in the developmental models - fostering both personal and professional growth, at different stages of life and learning, requires a qualitatively different environment for optimum growth to occur.
Students, and those new to practice, might require supervision that provides a lot of guidance and feedback. Those growing in experience benefit from supervision that helps them develop the skills and confidence necessary to navigate complex client situations. More experienced practitioners will benefit from supervision that encourages deeper self-awareness and learning. My focus is on creating a supportive, collaborative environment where growth is encouraged at every stage of a counsellor’s professional journey.
Reflection in supervision is a powerful tool, I facilitate it using the Wisdom Model™ pathways. Using creative and contemplative modalities we co-create a space where the supervisee can gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of purpose in their work. It enhances self-awareness, contributing to a more thoughtful, intentional, and ethically grounded practice. It aims to facilitate transformational learning, where supervisees can challenge assumptions, expand their perspectives, and bring their learning back into their practice for the benefit of their clients, and their profession as a whole.
