Counselling Directory celebrates its 20th anniversary

In 2005, Counselling Directory launched with a clear mission: to offer an easy and convenient way of connecting with mental health professionals. One of the first of its kind, the directory contained a location-based search tool and detailed profiles, allowing counsellors and psychotherapists to showcase exactly how they help.

To foster trust and ensure credibility, a proof policy was implemented from the outset - all professionals wanting to advertise with us had to be qualified and verified. This focus on creating a safe and supportive space for all allowed the website to thrive.

In the years since, more directories followed, including Hypnotherapy Directory, Life Coach Directory, Nutritionist Resource and Therapy Directory. Together, these professionals cover all aspects of well-being, from mental health and personal development to physical health and relaxation.

Tying everything together is the Happiful brand, alongside the creation of Happiful Magazine, a lifestyle magazine dedicated to mental health and wellness. What began with a simple intention - to help people find the right help for them - has expanded into a broader mission: to create a happier, healthier and more sustainable society.

Over the last two decades, the network of directories is proud to have facilitated an incredible 11.5 million connections between members of the public and wellness professionals. Today, there are over 30,000 verified professionals listed.

Celebrating all the company has achieved in the best way they know how, the Happiful team took a day away from their desks to volunteer at Just4Kids charity shop in the local community.
