Journey to joy
Cultivating joy, peace and intuition over 28 days through heart-centred breath in the community.
Who knew that through the breath and through the heart, we could find our way to joy, calm, peace, resilience and more...
Feeling joyfully alive in your body, mind and soul is your birthright!
… yet often it feels far away.
Do you want to bounce out of bed feeling thankful to be alive? Do you want to engage in activities that you feel passionate about? Do you want to make decisions easily? Feel a sense of calm in your body? Feel a sense of joyful anticipation about what is to come in your life? Surround yourself with people with whom you feel good? Resolve life’s challenges with ease? Step into new adventures and desires with optimism and excitement? Feel confident that you are rocking life like a badass?
Yes? Then I've got you...
There is no magic bullet for anything in life but there are some pretty darn helpful things you can do to support yourself to live your best life!
And I’d really love to be with you in that, which is why I created this 28-day Journey to joy - to share in community, evidence-based practices that will:
Activate the parasympathetic nervous system
The parasympathetic nervous system is the branch of our autonomic nervous system that is responsible for our state of rest and digest. It is activated when we feel safe, free from threat and in connection with others. In our fast-paced modern lives, we are often more habitually in a sympathetic nervous system response in our survival mode. It’s hard to enjoy life when your body is feeling like it’s constantly running from a tiger! Through the heart-centred breath practice, we give our body a repeated experience of what it is to feel safe, calm and at rest. We begin to remind ourselves that rest and ease can be our baseline state. You have a way to return from stress to calm.
When you have a reliable way to activate your parasympathetic nervous system in times of stress, you handle more of life’s challenges and enjoy more of life’s adventures. You become more resilient.
Change the electro-magnetic field around you so that you attract abundance into your life.
The thoughts we think are electrical by nature. The feelings we feel have a magnetic pull. So as we intentionally think loving thoughts and generate loving feelings we are creating a magnetic force that attracts more love into our lives. This is an incredibly empowering practice for stimulating change.
Journey to joy…. the offering
We will meet live online every day, twice a day for 15 minutes each time, over 28 days. We will learn and practice together, heart centred tools that will:
- bring calm, gratitude and optimism
- connect you with your own wisdom
- remind you of your goodness and the goodness of those around you
- and, most importantly, build a super highway between you and feeling good, that you can call upon throughout the day and the days to come
When you feel good, you uplift others…
We are often taught that making a contribution is about being sacrificial, giving up something for the sake of others, going without. When we contribute from this place, we often feel exhausted, unvalued and resentful. In fact, when we tap into the energies of love and gratitude and feel the effects of that for ourselves, we naturally and effortlessly spill it out onto others. You’ll find yourself appreciating people, giving to people, celebrating people, encouraging people without even thinking about it. You’ll uplift without even trying. People will gravitate towards you because it feels good to be around an appreciative joyful loving person.
A live group practice
There are a million resources out there that can help us. It can sometimes be overwhelming! So many things you could try but don’t because they get lost amongst all the other things that might help.
We are going to take one practice, be consistent, build the connections in our bodies, and make it a habit.
- I want you to receive the maximum impact of this practice.
- I want you to create the change in your life that you want and deserve.
- I want you to be reminded that you are a magical being, made of the same energy that creates worlds, that you are deserving of love and joy and abundance.
Being part of a group daily practice creates a level of accountability. I want you to be there! To show up for yourself. Your presence matters to me and the rest of the group.
In a group, the energies that we will tap into will be amplified. You will benefit from being in that group energy and you will be contributing to it also. In fact, you will be contributing to the overall energy of the planet in an intentional way.
There is no shortage of information out there, about how to make your life better. In fact, there is so much that it is easy to watch all of the reels, read all of the articles, listen to all of the podcasts and then do nothing except for feel overwhelmed and or inadequate.
Morning and evening
When you start your day with any uplifting practice that connects you with yourself it kicks your day off to a great start and sets you on the right track for a ‘good’ day.
And after a day out in the world or full of activity, you can reset with an uplifting practice so to make the most of your evening. This gives you two reference points in the day when you feel positive, loving and thankful. This will spill out into your life.
What is less available is focus, clarity, commitment consistency, and structure. Which is why I am inviting you to make a commitment to yourself with this 28-day challenge. Commit some money, commit some time, commit some consistency. I will provide the structure, the tools, the encouragement and the community. You will be rewarded for your efforts with increased vitality, uplift, optimism, calm and a practice that feels like second nature that you can implement anytime you are feeling stressed, or low.
FAQ’s
Do I have to have my camera on?
You can have your camera on or off. It can feel more connecting to see the other beings you are sharing the journey with, but you will feel their energy either way since energy transcends space and time. And I recognise for some, camera on will be too challenging and prohibitive.
Do I have to attend every session?
The more you show up for the sessions, the more you will get from the practice. That said, life happens and there is no shame here for missed sessions. One of the values of this journey is the consistent daily practice so let’s commit to that!
Is it an interactive group?
The group is largely not interactive. It is 15 mins of practice which I will lead. Designed to be short so that it is time efficient for those with busy lives. There will be an optional 10 minutes following this for anyone who wants to share their experience.
What if I have questions throughout the week?
There is an option to join a 28-day WhatsApp group for reminders, questions and shares during the week.
Who is this for?
This is for you if :
- you are ready to commit some time to yourself consistently to your own growth and well-being
- you want to make the world a better place by cultivating an uplifting practice
- you want to create change for yourself and those around you
Wherever you are on your path to joyful aliveness, you will benefit. It will amplify whatever good stuff you are already doing or it will be a great kick-start to living your best life!
- If you are doing therapy, great!
- If you are doing bodywork, great!
- Or, if you are just beginning to want to create change in your life, great!
This 28-day challenge is for you.
About the host
Hi I’m Amy
I am a psychotherapist, an energy healer and a student of wholehearted living. I spent much of my 20’s feeling anxious and depressed. I was scared to live fully. I felt bad about who I was and what I had to offer. I struggled to be seen and heard.
I felt in my heart that I had something to offer the world, but I could not find my way out of my negative self-talk long enough to discover what that might be. Much time has passed since those days. I have experienced tons of therapies, talking, energetic, bodywork. I have completed tons of trainings.
My intention more recently has been to let go of all of the things that get in the way of me giving and receiving the love that is available in this life. I believe that the amount of love available to us all is way beyond our comprehension.
