The pressures of modern living can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected, even alienated, from life and our deepest selves. Shamanic journeying is a practice used by people across the world since the dawn of humanity that can help us restore our balance and inner harmony, strengthening our intuitive abilities and sense of interconnection with nature and all life. Parts of the self that we may have lost touch with through hurt or neglect can emerge for healing and reintegration, bringing a greater sense of wholeness.

In this course, you will learn to journey in a safe and grounded environment, beginning to develop relationships with shamanic allies, including what are known as power animals, to build a network of resources that support you in everyday life. Journeying can also be of particular interest to anyone interested in dreams, creative processes and the imaginal realm, Carl Jung’s psychology of the collective unconscious and transpersonal psychology.

The small group will meet in my therapy room in Hastings Old Town over two terms in 2026 and 2027. The size of the group allows for more individual attention as you develop your journeying skills.
