Death, dying and bereavement in the therapeutic space

Are you interested in deepening your knowledge and understanding of death, dying and bereavement as we experience it in the therapy room? If so, please join me, Lorna Marchant, for a day exploring both theoretically and experientially death, dying and bereavement and how it can show itself within the therapeutic encounter.

I have worked with death, dying and bereavement in its many forms for more than two decades, working with clients, supervising counsellors and with counsellors in training. I have researched the impact on adult life when a sudden death has been experienced in childhood, and I have presented at research conferences on this topic.

The day will involve touching on what you will already know from the vast field of knowledge in this area and introducing you to new material. The aim is for you to develop a greater understanding of ways of working with clients that offer a safe and containing space, often when all else feels lost.
