About me

I'm an experienced Jungian Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist based in Hanover, Brighton and also working with clients online.

If you're struggling with relationship problems, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, substance abuse or a loss of meaning in your life, therapy can help. I provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space free of expectation or judgement, tailored to individual needs. Everyone is unique and together we explore whatever issues arise.

Jungian Psychotherapy is about bringing into consciousness the unconscious aspects of a person's psyche. Jung believed that anxiety, depression and other symptoms can be thought of as an inner voice which has not properly been heard or expressed. Allowing these parts of ourselves to be understood leads to a greater wholeness.

Couples Therapy is the process of attending weekly or fortnightly sessions together. My aim is not to resolve the issues for you, but to help you develop your own insights and skills, so you can resolve issues yourselves. Talking through your problems with a trained relationship therapist can help you get to the heart of your conflicts and come to value each other’s differences. Relationships, like everything else, go through periods of transformation and navigating that can be difficult. Bringing a greater awareness and intentionality into your relationship helps establish a deeper connection, ensuring the relationship thrives rather than breaks down.

I combine my Jungian training with both Imago Couples Therapy and The Developmental Model Couples Therapy Training, to help identify some of the deeper, more underlying issues being played out in your relationship.

Contacting a therapist can be daunting but it can be the first step towards a happier, more fulfilling future with a better understanding of who you are. It's important to find the right therapist to work with. Before beginning work together it's often helpful to have a telephone conversation and/or email contact to discuss your needs and the possibility of working together. Please feel free to call me on 07957 395366.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified Jungian Analytical Psychotherapist and member of UK Council for Psychotherapy. I completed my training with the Guild of Analytical Psychologists (G.A.P.) in London. My training with G.A.P. included 4 years of theory, a thorough personal analysis, 200 hours of clinical placement in an acute psychiatric unit in East London and several years of practice under thorough supervision.

I abide by the code of ethics of G.A.P. which is a member organisation of UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). I hold a membership of UKCP.

In parallel to this training, I have also undertaken Imago Couples Therapy Training and The Ellyn Bader Developmental Model Couples Therapy Training, as well as various couples counselling courses. I combine all these modalities when working with couples.
