About me
Hi, I work long and short term with both individual clients and couples and bring talent and experience to a wide range of issues. I am incredibly passionate about my work and strive to give every client I meet a positive therapeutic encounter.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified and BACP accredited integrative therapist, having considerable clinical background of working with adults in the NHS, Prison Service (working both with offenders and members of prison staff), the Probation Service and various other organisations within the voluntary sector. I have established and managed a number of therapeutic services. Additionally, I have been teaching Counselling and Psychotherapy at Leicester University for several years.
I trained at Leicester University, studying Psychodynamic therapy. Since qualifying, I have trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and supervision training.
I have been an integral part in research projects, where the effectiveness of my work has been inspected. The studies have been very successful. Although, the most important factor of this analysis has been to prove that my clients mental health has improved.
I hold a Certificate in Supervision from 'Cambridge Supervision Training'; a training organisation accredited with the Adlerian Society of the UK and I am a member of the ASiiP, (The Adlerian Society and Institute for Individual Psychology).I offer supervision to therapists/professionals and those who also who work within the 'caring professions' . Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information
My fees for individuals are - £70 per session.
My fees for couples are - £80 per session.
EMDR and Trauma sessions may last 90 mins and will cost £100
My Supervision fees are - £50 per hour. However, I can provide group supervision which will lower the individual cost.
