About me

Do you find yourself constantly overthinking—replaying conversations, worrying about the future, or struggling to switch your mind off?

You might appear calm on the outside, but inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, or not “good enough.”

I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can begin to understand what’s driving these feelings and find a calmer way forward.

Who I work with

I work with people who may be experiencing:

Anxiety or constant overthinking
Low self-esteem or self-doubt
Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained
Difficulty setting boundaries
Relationship challenges

You don’t need to have a clear explanation for how you’re feeling—just a sense that something isn’t quite right.

How I can help
I use Transactional Analysis to help you understand the patterns behind your thoughts and feelings—especially those inner critical voices that can keep you stuck.

Together, we can:

Explore where your anxiety and self-doubt come from
Understand why certain situations feel so overwhelming
Develop kinder, more balanced ways of thinking
Help you feel more confident, calm, and in control

What sessions are like
Sessions are gentle, collaborative, and led at your pace.

You don’t need to prepare anything or find the “right words.” We’ll work together to explore what’s going on in a way that feels safe and manageable.

My aim is for you to feel heard, understood, and supported—without judgement.

A bit about me
I came to counselling later in life after experiencing my own challenges with self-criticism and low self-belief. This gives me a real understanding of how difficult it can feel to reach out for support.

Because of this, I work gently and with empathy, always respecting your pace and your individual experience.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor using Transactional Analysis to help you understand patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and communication. Together, we work to change unhelpful patterns and build healthier ways of relating and coping.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I offer a calm, private, and confidential space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement.

I am based at The Bridge Wellbeing Hub, a welcoming and professional setting designed to support wellbeing. The space is quiet, comfortable, and intended to help you feel at ease so you can focus on yourself without distraction.

For those who prefer more flexibility, I also offer online sessions via secure video call, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own home.

How I work
I work in a gentle, collaborative way, tailoring sessions to suit you as an individual. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready—we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Using Transactional Analysis, I help you explore patterns in your thinking, behaviour, and relationships. This can bring greater awareness of how past experiences may be influencing your present, and support you in making meaningful, lasting changes.

I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. I will listen with empathy and respect, offering a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

Practical information
Sessions are typically held weekly and last 50 minutes.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory call, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions and see whether I feel like the right fit for you before committing to sessions.
