About me
I am a registered and dedicated counsellor, committed to providing confidential and affordable mental health support to all my clients. My practice is founded on the principle of offering a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and expectations with the utmost respect and dignity. My primary focus is to make quality counselling accessible to everyone, ensuring that financial constraints do not become a barrier to receiving the support you need.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Integrative counselling. This means I thoughtfully draw upon mainstream theoretical perspectives, integrating knowledge and skills from various well-established and widely practiced therapies. This comprehensive approach allows me to tailor the counselling experience to your unique needs, understanding that each individual's journey towards well-being is distinct.
Working collaboratively, we can utilize the profound insights and effective techniques of three core modalities: Person-Centered Counselling, Psychodynamic Counselling, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Person-Centered Counselling emphasizes your inherent capacity for self-healing and personal growth. In this approach, I provide a genuinely empathetic and understanding environment, fostering a space where you feel truly heard and accepted. This allows you to explore your experiences, values, and aspirations at your own pace, developing a deeper understanding of yourself and finding your own solutions.
Psychodynamic Counselling delves into how past experiences, particularly early relationships, might be influencing your present thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By exploring unconscious patterns and unresolved conflicts, we can gain valuable insights into the roots of your current challenges, leading to greater self-awareness and the ability to make more conscious choices.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the interconnectedness of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through CBT, we will identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to your distress. We will then work together to develop practical strategies and coping mechanisms to challenge these patterns, fostering more adaptive ways of thinking and responding to life's challenges.
By integrating these powerful therapeutic frameworks, we can effectively address a wide range of concerns, from managing stress and anxiety to navigating relationship difficulties, coping with loss, or exploring personal development. Our work together is designed to empower you to bring about the meaningful changes you desire, or indeed need, in your life, fostering greater resilience, emotional well-being, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
