About me
Hello and a warm welcome to my profile
My journey of becoming a therapist:
I started my therapeutic career around 5 years ago, in hindsight, I have been a caregiver most of my life.
I have volunteered at various charities over the years since starting my career in 2018, supporting men and women of all ages on their journey to recovery.
In addition to my training, I was granted The Student Opportunity Award where I gained a greater awareness and understanding of robust research from leaders in the field of counselling and psychotherapy at the PCE World Conference. This opportunity gave me a full view of my position in the industry and how I can be of help to others who seek moral, ethical therapeutic support.
My therapeutic practice underpins person-centred values, creating a safe confidential space where you feel seen, heard, understood held and valued. Together, we work to clarify issues and problems that matter to you, at your own pace and time.
I also work experientially, informed by emotion which offers different ways to express and unpack (past, present and future) through creative ways such as art, guided imagery and various form of recreation. The activities tend to be used to help process the past, in an emotional sense. When emotions become stuck, they can often lead to a cycle of self-criticism and a lack of self-satisfaction. A regaining of emotional connection can lead to a healthy cycle of processing.
However, interventions such as these are utilised as and when you feel ready to do so, rather than an added thing to do, hence my practice is based on the person-centred philosophy.

Recent feedback:
When first arrived I was concerned about Yasmin looking younger than I expected and whether would she understand my needs of personal loss. I need not have worried, she was very good. I feel my time was Yasmin, I have achieved the vision I was looking for and feel I have realised where I want to be. She listened to everything I said and she was able to relate to it too. I would recommend Yasmin. The best thing she taught me was I do not have to justify myself and find that right door that had me-me- standing there.

Yasmin has been extremely helpful and supportive during our sessions. She is very encouraging and always open to exploring feelings and emotions.
-Recent client
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Yasmin. She has enabled me to feel heard, empowered valued and has enabled me to truth in myself and my decisions. She has guided me through my emotions and I've subsequently been able to pinpoint where certain triggers have originated. I cannot recommend Yasmin enough- She has been amazing and is a wonderful human being.
