About me
Hello, I’m Vicky, a BACP-registered integrative counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals (18+) on their paths to self-awareness and healing. I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call to see if we would be a good fit to work together.
If you’re feeling sad, depressed, anxious, or stressed, please know that you’re not alone. Many of us have moments when it feels like something is wrong, but we might not be able to pinpoint what it is. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, feeling more tearful or angry than usual, or struggling to sleep because your mind won’t quiet down. Or something may have happened to you, like a relationship breakdown or loss of some kind.
If any of this sounds familiar, I want you to know that counselling could be a path forward for you.
As your therapist, I will walk alongside you as we explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. My role is to create a safe space for you to understand yourself without judgment better. I’m not here to give advice but rather to help you uncover what’s going on for you and support you in finding solutions that fit with your unique situation.
Together, we can navigate
- Making connections between past experiences and current challenges
- Enhancing your self-awareness
- Identify patterns in behaviour that no longer serve you
- Developing coping strategies, and
- Making positive changes to your life.
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and practice humanistic therapies, such as Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis. I firmly believe that each person is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.
I offer both online, telephone (UK) and in-person counselling services throughout the week in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
If you feel ready to take the next step, please reach out to me via email with a brief overview of your situation. I can check my availability for you and, if you wish, schedule a free 15-minute introductory phone call. This will allow us to discuss what brings you to counselling, see if we’re a good fit, and schedule your first session.

I work with adults (ages 18 and older) navigating various challenges, including anger, anxiety, apathy, depression, overwhelm, relationship difficulties, rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), trauma, low self-esteem, self-harm, shame, suicidal thoughts, grief, and loss.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My personal experiences have profoundly influenced my understanding of mental health and well-being. As a woman who discovered later in life that I am Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), I have experienced a feeling of being out of step with the world without fully understanding why.
I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of connection, a feeling I only began to experience when I trusted those around me. My goal is to create that same sense of trust with you. I am committed to nurturing an inclusive environment where you can comfortably explore your unique experiences and feelings. This is why I founded Diverse Therapy, a counselling service designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for those who work with me.
I have personal experience with chronic illness and understand how incredibly challenging it can be to navigate life with a chronic health condition.
These lived experiences shape who I am as a person and as a therapist. If any of this resonates with you, I encourage you to reach out to arrange a free introductory call with me. This will allow us to see if we would be a good fit to work together.
