Victoria Hares MBACP Dip Counsellor / Supervisor (Registered)
277 Brampton Road
Hello my name is Victoria and as a qualified counsellor I am experienced in supporting individuals who are struggling with feelings of low self esteem, loneliness, isolation and issues around intimacy. I support people from different backgrounds and cultures covering issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work related problems, childhood/adult trauma and loss and bereavement. I understand how difficult life can be at times and how it might be easier to continue with the path of life you are on - or you could make that first step and seek support by contacting me.
I offer both short and long term counselling working from my private detached counselling room in Bexleyheath Kent DA7.
I offer a non-judgemental, empathic safe relationship and my approach is to support clients to understand how their current emotional and psychological difficulties may be unconscious and related to their past childhood experiences. I feel the unique relationship between us is of the utmost importance, this will allow you to feel safe, open up and share with me your issues and concerns.
I have undertaken training to support clients with alcohol and/or substance misuse issues and the related difficulties that may arise from their addiction.
During our initial meeting you will have an opportunity to ask questions, explore whether we can develop a working relationship and if you feel comfortable and safe to share with me.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling having successfully completed course requirements, the required client counselling hours, my own individual personal therapy and supervision.
I also hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Supervision acquired at Interpsyche Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies.
Alongside my private practice I offer my counselling services voluntarily to an organisation supporting women who have experienced domestic violence and individual clients experiencing isolation, depression, poverty and mental health issues. Clients have a variety of issues causing them distress and anxiety and I offer them a safe environment to explore their thoughts and feelings.
My work experience at BAGRA involved receiving training to support clients with alcohol and substance misuse issues or family members affected by their addiction.
