About me
A warm welcome to Waterways Therapy, and to the beginning of our journey together. My name is Verna, and I am a fully insured, qualified Person‑Centred Counsellor. I’m deeply passionate about supporting people as they rediscover their smile, reconnect with self‑love, and gently allow their true, authentic self to emerge.
I offer afternoon and evening sessions — face‑to‑face, walk‑and‑talk therapy along the towpath, and online support via Teams — so you can choose the setting that feels most comfortable for you. My therapy room at Sawley Marina offers a peaceful, grounded space. There is something about the water’s gentle movement that brings a natural sense of calm, helping many clients feel more settled and ready to explore what matters to them. I also have an article being published in Waterways Magazine sharing more about the heart behind my work and the healing presence of life on the marina.
