Vanessa Foden (Accredited Member of BACP), Integrative Counsellor.
About me
I offer counselling services in a peaceful, relaxed and safe environment. Here you can explore your issues and find resolutions with my help. I am based in a rural setting in Sidlesham just four miles from Chichester.
The added benefit of coming to see me is that there are no parking fees or commuting complications and you will feel immediately at ease and away from your everyday stresses.
You will be in safe hands. I have over ten years experience of Counselling in the NHS and other agencies, helping people like you with a range of issues and circumstances. I will help you get to the heart of your problem quickly so we can explore ways to get you back in charge of your life and making decisions that are right for you. I am an accredited member of BACP, which means I am acknowledged as well trained and extremely experienced in all areas of therapy.
I offer a free 30 minute assessment appointment which enables you to come along and decide if I can help you get back on track. The counselling relationship is really important in enabling recovery and I want you to be sure that we can work effectively together.
My website gives more information on how I work and my philosophy.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Covid -19
In line with the BACP, I am offering limited face to face counselling. I am able to observe a two metre distance, a Perspex screen between us and minimal contact with surfaces. I thoroughly sanitise the space before and after sessions and fully ventilate. If you wish to wear a mask/shield and would prefer me to do so, this is possible.
However, whilst we are in tier 4 I am only able to offer online or telephone counselling.
