About me

I am an integrative counsellor and offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to explore, at your own pace, the issues or concerns that are important to you and bring you to counselling at this time.  I believe in the power of transformation as a process of developing insight leading to increased hope and change.  This is a collaborative relationship and space about you and for you.

I offer online and telephone counselling - both open-ended and short term.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified registered Counsellor and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  I hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling alongside a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.

I have a wealth of experience counselling adult female survivors of childhood sexual abuse, additionally working with depression, anxiety, parenting, mentoring and counselling young people aged 13 to 25, as well as extensive experience in teaching, banking and the health sector. I am uniquely placed to provide therapy covering a range of issues for individuals both personally and professionally.

I work with adults and young people (aged 18 plus).

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
