About me

Feeling anxious, stressed and overwhelmed, struggling with a loss or just trying to make sense of it all?  Feeling alone, struggling with change and emotionally running on empty can lead to increased stress, anxieties, and depression.  Whatever your reason for seeking therapy let me welcome you to a space where you will supported as we work together to understand how your being affected by your experiences past or present.

As a qualified person centred therapist my approach will be to listen to your experience and understand what is going on for you. You will be encouraged to explore your feelings without any judgement.  I will be guided by you and together we can navigate the hard stuff. Our working relationship is key, and because everyone is unique we can tailor our work together to encourage positive outcomes by using a blended approach in therapy if necessary.

I offer face to face counselling in a comfortable and confidential private space within central Wakefield that has local parking within easy reach. I also offer online sessions for those who may be isolating or prefer this method of communicating.

As a registered member of the BACP, I am committed to continued personal development and have completed a number of additional training courses to enhance my practice. This includes Life Coaching inclusive of personal development planning and Specialist Counselling which covers areas such as Abuse, Depression, Anger and Anxiety. Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
