About me

Feeling anxious, stressed and overwhelmed, struggling with a loss or just trying to make sense of it all?  Feeling alone, struggling with change and emotionally running on empty can lead to increased stress, anxieties, and depression.  Whatever your reason for seeking therapy let me welcome you to a space where you will supported as we work together to understand how your being affected by your experiences past or present.

As a qualified person centred therapist my approach will be to listen to your experience and understand what is going on for you. You will be encouraged to explore your feelings without any judgement.  I will be guided by you and together we can navigate the hard stuff. Our working relationship is key, and because everyone is unique we can tailor our work together to encourage positive outcomes by using a blended approach in therapy if necessary.

I offer face to face counselling in a comfortable and confidential private space within central Leeds that has local parking within easy reach. I also offer online sessions for those who may be isolating or prefer this method of communicating.

As a registered member of the BACP, I am committed to continued personal development and have completed a number of additional training courses to enhance my practice. This includes Life Coaching inclusive of personal development planning and Specialist Counselling which covers areas such as Abuse, Depression, Anger and Anxiety. I am also currently volunteering for a local organization supporting people in the community with counselling.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
