About me
Hello, my name is Tracy and I am a person centred counsellor with spaces available at the moment. Can I first of all say that I admire you as taking the big step of searching for a counsellor is an achievement as this means that you are aware that you need support and help with your life journey, so let’s see if we can work together.
Being a person centred practitioner means that I firmly believe that you are the expert of you but I am here to provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space for us to explore your thoughts, feelings on any issue you would like to discuss. I work alongside you with empathy, authenticity, and respect, supporting you to develop greater self-understanding, resilience, and self-acceptance. Rather than giving advice or direction, I focus on helping you access your own inner resources and strengths.
I have many years of experience of working within the counselling field, working alongside clients including veterans, families of veterans, public service workers, young adults and counsellors in training so I am more than aware of the pressures and expectations we all face from time to time. I am also aware of the different stages of life we all go through where things are changing physically and mentally, which can be confusing and frightening. If this sounds familiar, I am here to listen.
I work online and in person, which allows flexibility and accessibility, whether you are at home or in another private space that feels safe for you, or if you would like to meet face to face in my counselling space. I support clients with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, and life transitions.
I also offer walk and talk therapy sessions where we can explore issues in the fresh air, amongst nature with no walls or interruptions.
If you are looking for a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, I offer an initial conversation to help you decide whether counselling with me feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
