About me

Hi there, I am Tracy a fully qualified and experienced integrative counsellor. I am a warm, friendly, real and compassionate therapist and will make you feel at ease from the moment we meet. I am dedicated to you, and here to listen and understand any issues you are experiencing.

I work from home and have a dedicated therapy room, which offers a relaxed, safe, comfortable and private environment for us to work together. It's free to park and I am close to many bus routes. I offer short, medium or long term therapy to suit you and your needs. Our sessions will be reviewed together to ensure you are gaining the most on your therapy journey. I believe that each client should feel in control of their therapy journey and the paths they wish to explore.

I offer an integrative approach to counselling/talking therapy. I work from a Person-Centred approach together with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and TA (Transactional Analysis). This means I can tailor the therapy to you, making it as individual as you are and a unique counselling process as we all feel and see the world and our lives differently. My commitment to you is to provide a professional, confidential counselling service in a safe calm, compassionate environment.

Many come to counselling and don't know where to begin, it could be you are feeling overwhelmed, lost, stressed or at a point in your life where you feel stuck and unable to move forward. Are you experiencing anxiety, depression or problems in or with a relationship? Have you suffered trauma or bereavement (past or present) or in a place where you don't understand the feeling your experiencing, this is where I come in.

I am very experienced and specialise in many areas such as bereavement, childhood issues, child and adult abuse, family issues, domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, OCD, anger, stress, female issues (pregnancy, post/prenatal depression) women's issues (peri-menopause/menopause), addiction.

I am here to listen, support, explore and help you understand YOU. To help you become the person you want to be, to empower you, to become self-aware and achieve personal goals. This is about you regaining your life, your feeling, thoughts and emotions to develop your health and wellbeing for a positive perspective. To gain a greater understanding of yourself. We will work together in the best way for you to live a happier and fulfilled life.

Counselling can be a difficult and challenging journey, but I will be with you every step of the way. It is about us working together, building our therapeutic relationship that consists of trust, compassion understanding and non-judgemental so that you will feel safe, relaxed and can speak openly and honestly.

Counselling/ talking therapies are a way of making positive changes to your life so seeking the right therapist for you is essential. I offer a space where you will never be judged but will be heard and understood, I am a passionate professional who is dedicated to helping people.

Sharing difficult and personal issues is not easy so it's my priority that you feel I am the right fit for you and your needs. I would always encourage you to use my free 15 minute no obligation phone call to see if it feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
