About me
I am an integrative counsellor in private practice at the Unity Therapy Centre, specialising in anxiety, depression, grief & loss and trauma such as PTSD / Complex-PTSD, anger management and emotional distress, based in Fearnhead, Warrington, Cheshire. I offer weekly 50-minute sessions, face to face, via FaceTime or online.
Unity Therapy Centre is a private practice offering a bespoke approach, to anxiety, depression, grief & loss to trauma, anger management and emotional distress related issues. The key objective is, to meet your needs, as I believe every individual has the right to become self-autonomous and enjoy a happy and fulfilled life.
What other clients have said,
"I love my life now, getting to work with you, was an absolute blessing". Testimonial by A.F.
"Thankyou for helping me to be happy again and giving me the tools to cope with everyday life and troubles. My life is so much better for meeting you" Testimonial by DG
I am passionate about helping others who experience mental health problems and aim to provide an approachable and accessible service within the boundaries, by adhering to the ethical and moral qualities framework of a professional practice.
Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioural and emotional well-being. It is all about how individuals think, feel, and behave, causing some individuals distress when their resilience is low. Sometimes the term "mental health" is also used to describe the absence of a mental health disorder.
Adverse mental health conditions can affect your daily living, relationships, and physical health. Therefore, it is vital to find the right support to help you to recognise the root cause and achieve a healthier mindset.
Footnote: The Unity Therapy Centre does not provide urgent out of hours mental health crisis support.
Prior to the first session, I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation to assess your concerns.
Thereafter, the initial consultation provides an opportunity for us to meet and for me to understand your primary objectives. I will ask the usual questions that helps me determine what you are looking for and invite you to expand on what you hope to achieve from counselling.
This also gives us the opportunity for you to assess my competencies and for me to evaluate whether or not I am the right therapist for you.
We will draw up a contract together of what is required by you and what I, as a counsellor asks for in return. There will also be a small amount of administration and an assessment for you to complete.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
