About me

🧾 General information about you and your service

With over 35 years of experience in mental health, I offer a calm, collaborative space where you can feel heard and supported. I started my career as a psychiatric nurse, and since 2005 I’ve been BABCP-accredited as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). I also work with EMDR, and I use these evidence-based approaches to help people move through trauma, anxiety, low mood, and other personal struggles.

My approach is practical and down-to-earth, but always guided by compassion. I’ve worked in clinical, managerial, and tech-focused roles over the years, but what’s always mattered most to me is direct, one-to-one work with people. That’s why I now focus entirely on therapy.

I can support you with:

  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Difficult memories or flashbacks
  • Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
  • Setting and achieving recovery goals
  • Moving forward after burnout or loss

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start, I’ll meet you where you are and help you find direction, set clear recovery goals, and take real steps toward the life you want to live.

Training, qualifications & experience

🎓 Training, qualifications & experience

I began my career as a psychiatric nurse, which gave me a strong foundation in compassionate, hands-on care. I’ve been BABCP-accredited as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) since 2005, and I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). My career has included clinical, leadership, and technology roles, but I’ve always been drawn back to meaningful one-to-one therapeutic work, which is now my full focus.

ℹ️ Any further information

I currently offer therapy sessions online, and I set aside time specifically for self-referring clients who prefer not to go through large platforms or employers. If you're looking for a more direct, personal therapy route - particularly on Wednesdays - I may be a good fit.
