About me

Online therapy if you're overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck

I aim to help you move from enduring life to actually enjoying it again. To feel more like yourself and better able to handle life's difficulties.

Calm, practical online therapy with Tony Pleasance, RMN, BABCP-accredited CBT and EMDR therapist, with clinical experience since 1989.

Many people suffer in silence for far too long before reaching out.

I work online with adults of all backgrounds and regularly support people who are neurodivergent, from the LGBTQ+ community, and those in later life. It doesn’t matter whether you’re local or further afield, based in the UK or internationally. I also offer relationship-focused CBT for couples and a range of relationship styles.

I can support you with:

  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Difficult memories or flashbacks
  • Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
  • Setting and achieving recovery goals
  • Moving forward after work burnout or loss

Taking the next step:

It's OK if you're unsure where to begin. We'll work together to help you move towards the life you want to live.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), accredited since 2005, and also trained in EMDR. I offer a calm, practical approach to therapy, helping people make sense of what’s going on and take manageable steps forwards.

I started my career as a psychiatric nurse and have worked across clinical, leadership, and technology roles in mental health. Over time, it became clear that meaningful one-to-one therapy is where my experience is most useful. That is now my full focus.
