About me

How Human Givens Therapy can help

You may have a concern in your life for which you would like solution-focused support. In therapy we look together at how well your needs are being met and the impact of this on your emotional wellbeing. Using the Human Givens framework (https://www.hgi.org.uk/) we also look at how you can use your innate resources more effectively to meet these needs. Within this my approach is empathic, fluid and flexible, drawing on a range of evidence-based techniques and approaches to suit you as the client. It is effective often in few sessions and for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and depression.

More About Me

I have worked successfully for over twenty five years as an Educational Psychologist and find the Human Givens approach to be helpful in face-to-face work with children and young people, parents and staff. It also deepens my understanding of schools and other organisations and how the needs of all those working within these systems can be better met.

My therapy is face to face with adult clients in clinic premises in Stourbridge.

Making contact

I am available for Friday daytime, Saturday morning and some evening appointments. A free initial 15-minute telephone call is included to help us decide on booking a session.

What To Expect in Your First Session

The first arranged session normally lasts for an hour and a half, to facilitate further information-gathering on the area of concern. It also allows us the time to agree and carry out therapy to agreed goals and in a relaxed and well-paced way. A further session lasting an hour can be agreed if needed and this is always determined by you as the client.

Session Fees

Fees are at a set rate of £50 per session, regardless of length or number of sessions, with concessional rates indicated below.
