About me

Sometimes life can be painful and too much to bear. Feeling anxious, cut off, low or troubled can make life a real struggle and confronting those emotions just makes it even more difficult. This is when counselling and psychotherapy can help. You will be able to explore your feelings safely and without fear of judgement.

I am a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist who works in and around Cambridge. I offer a secure space in which to listen to you in complete confidence, with short or longer term psychotherapy available.

My approach integrates a range of techniques with a confident grounding in Psychodynamic theory, allowing me to work with a person’s current situation as well as how past events may direct present thoughts and feelings.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified, BACP registered and accredited psychodynamic counsellor. I have experience working with adults and adolescents in private practice and with young people in schools and charities operating in Cambridgeshire.

I received a PgDip in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire in 2015, continuing to develop my practice by undertaking additional training, including in Creative Arts Therapy and working specifically with adolescents.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
