About me
You are important.
Coronavirus: During these strange and challenging times, I will offer secure, online sessions at a discounted rate for Key Workers. Stay safe and well.
Are you feeling the pressures of life? Perhaps you need support and understanding with the anxieties life often brings. It can be incredibly tough; feeling as though you're on your own, or that those around you don't understand. Maybe you don't want to share your thoughts and feelings with those closest to you...
During our session, you will find a relaxed, safe and confidential environment. We can explore together; where you are, discover the changes you would like to make and look at how you can put the foundations into place, to make those changes real.
You may have already gone through some significant changes and could be feeling overwhelmed. I can help and encourage you to discover a better sense of well-being. You will be heard, without being judged.
My person-centred approach, means that the therapy I offer is not directive; I won't advise you, but I will listen, offer confidentiality, respect, empathy and warmth. I am with you in the session, not leading you. I will by no means judge you. I will offer challenges to help you move and grow.
You won't go home with instructions, but you will go home knowing that you have instant support and trust in your newly established, therapeutic relationship.
Sessions can be arranged at a time to suit you - daytime, evenings or weekends.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualified since 2012, I am thankful to have worked with many special people, each one unique in their own right.
Combined, I have spent my time as a therapist working for the NHS, St. Roccos Hospice and at home. My experience tells me that whatever the presenting issue might be, sessions usually bring many other areas to the surface; each one is worked upon, as our relationship evolves, trust is built, and more importantly when you are ready.
For reference, I gained my Diploma from the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) at The Cheshire Therapy Centre, Warrington.
Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
