About me

I'm a doctor and psychotherapist with a specialist interest in OCD. I believe that, with the right support and guidance, this is a highly treatable problem.

First, we must understand the nature of your intrusive thoughts and why they are causing you such distress. Next, we will explore how these thoughts influence the way you live your life. During this process, we’ll identify what is causing and maintaining your OCD and, most importantly, what needs to change to overcome it.

Often, people struggling with OCD tell me that they know their thoughts or behaviours don’t make sense, but still feel compelled to act on them. This is because OCD is not a problem of logic or intellect - we can’t reason our way out of it. Instead, we must address the deeper, more emotional aspect of our experience. We must show your brain that these thoughts are not dangerous and do not need to be acted on. This is achieved through changing our behaviour. After all, actions speak louder than words. Over time, thoughts become less distressing, and the urge to respond to them weakens. This reflects your 'head and heart' coming back into alignment. As your confidence grows, recovery will not just feel possible but inevitable. Along the way, you'll start to reclaim the life that OCD has taken from you.

I often tell my clients, “If nothing changes, nothing changes.” Are you ready for change? I work best with motivated and determined individuals who have reached the point of “enough is enough - I want my life back.” If you bring that mindset, I will match it with compassion, motivation and everything you need to recover.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a trained medical doctor (MBBS, King's College London) and an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist (BABCP, University of East Anglia). I have worked within primary care and psychiatric services as well as within NHS Talking Therapies as a high-intensity CBT therapist. I combine my knowledge of medicine and psychology to provide evidence-based and effective OCD treatment.

Further information

I bring to my work a combination of professional and personal experience. Having been both a patient and a clinician, I understand what it’s like to feel hopeless, anxious, or lost, and I also know that meaningful change is possible.

My approach is informed not only by evidence-based Western medicine and psychology, but also by my long-standing interest in Eastern philosophy. These perspectives complement CBT beautifully, offering a broader perspective on uncertainty, change and meaning.

Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and grounded in real life. Together, we identify what’s keeping you stuck and focus on taking the necessary steps that lead to lasting change.
