About me
I have over 10 years’ experience working in mental health services within the NHS, most of which has been with people who experience enduring mental health difficulties. I mainly specialise in (C-)PTSD and childhood trauma presentations, using both targeted and integrative approaches. I also offer therapy for difficulties with relationships/attachments, self-esteem, self-criticism, shame, and anxiety.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about therapy, my therapeutic approach, or how we might work together. I also offer a free 10-minute telephone consultation on request.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist that mainly works with people who have trauma-related difficulties such as intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, anxiety, shame and low self-esteem, as well as attachment struggles (e.g. mistrust of others and fear of abandonment).
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
