About me
I am a qualified Art Therapist with over 25 years of experience working with children and young people within school settings. I offer a warm, supportive, and person-centred approach, creating a safe space where you can feel listened to, understood, and accepted without judgement.
I am HCPC registered and a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I also hold a full enhanced DBS certificate.
Throughout my career, I have supported young people with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs, including anxiety, low self-esteem, school-related pressures, emotional regulation, and difficult life experiences. My approach is tailored to each individual, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings through creativity, at your own pace.
Training, qualifications & experience
MA Art Pyschotherapy
I have worked for several children's mental health charities offering 1:1 art therapy and group sessions.
As I have worked in schools for many years I have a unique insight into how it feels to be a young person experiencing difficulties attending school. I understand what extra provision or support may be available at individual schools, and can help you to access this.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
