About me

I am a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a background as a mental health nurse. I currently work within the NHS alongside my private practice, supporting adults who are experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties. I work with all anxiety disorders (OCD, Panic, GAD), PTSD, depression, and low self-esteem. I also have training in habit reversal for skin picking and hair pulling difficulties.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, and my aim is to offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to talk openly. My nursing background helps me take a compassionate, whole-person approach, while my CBT training allows us to work together in a structured, evidence-based way to help you better understand your difficulties and develop tools to move forward.

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to you as an individual. I am committed to working at your pace, helping you build confidence and resilience, and supporting you to make meaningful and lasting changes in your life.

Sessions can be conducted online via Microsoft Teams, offering a flexible and accessible way to engage in therapy from the comfort of your own space.  Or, alternatively I have two in person locations for treatment in Bishop's Stortford. If you have any questions or would like to find out more, please feel free to get in touch

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BSC Applied Psychology 2:1
  • MSC Mental Health Nursing with merit
  • PGDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with distinction

I have been working in mental health for a number of years (around 15!) having started as a support worker. My interest in mental health and people has never dwindled, and I now find myself in a very privileged position to be working 1:1 with people using CBT to help better peoples lives.

I work part time for the NHS in a Psychological Wellbeing Service (formerly IAPT) and one day per week (with some ad hoc evenings) in private practice.  I only work with adults of working age, so 18 years upwards.
