About me
Past clients have said I’m calm, grounded, and deeply human in the way I work. They feel at ease with me quickly and it means they can stop holding everything together and just be themselves.
As both a psychodynamic psychotherapist and a registered high-risk midwife, I’ve spent over twenty years alongside people in moments of acute vulnerability, change, and resilience. That experience has shaped me to work with sensitivity, steadiness, and genuine respect for what it means to be human.
I’m drawn to the parts of life that can feel messy or unspoken and to the stories we carry quietly, the ways we protect ourselves, and the longing to be understood. My approach is relational and trauma-informed; we explore, together, what’s happening beneath the surface so you can feel more connected, whole, and alive.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, loss, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right, I offer a warm, confidential space to help you make sense of your experiences and begin to live with greater self-understanding and ease.
You may be holding everything together on the outside, while inside it feels like something’s quietly falling apart, that I know can be a tough burden to carry.
Perhaps you’ve lost a sense of who you are, or you keep finding yourself repeating painful patterns in relationships, work, or in your self-worth. You might be living with anxiety, low mood, or the lasting effects of trauma or loss.
Therapy can be a place to finally exhale, to really talk and be heard, to not have to pretend to be anything other than who you are, and so can start a real process of self understanding.
In my work both as a therapist and within the NHS I have over two decades of experience in supporting people through some of life’s most vulnerable moments. I understand how the body holds our emotional stories, and how early experiences often shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others.
My style is warm, intuitive, and collaborative. I don’t believe in fixing or analysing you I believe in helping you feel understood. We’ll explore, at your pace, how the past may be echoing in your present, and how you can begin to feel more connected to yourself again.
Therapy can be deeply transformative not by changing who you are, but by helping you reconnect with the parts of you that have been silenced, shamed, or forgotten.
I offer various arrangements of therapy for all adults 18 years and over.

-Opened ended work (not time limited) this is the most effective form of therapy for really looking at all areas of self and your life experiences, this really allows for things to unfold naturally, without pressure or rush. The heart of this work lies in the relationship between us, with a space where you can feel seen, understood, and begin to meet yourself in new ways.
I offer in person Face to Face sessions, Online sessions via Zoom or Telephone sessions.
Next Steps:
I offer a free initial consultation to help you decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit. This is a chance for you to share what brings you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of how we might work together.
If you’d like to take the next step, please get in touch. Reaching out I know can feel daunting, but it’s often the first act of self-care and courage that begins real change and I can promise you you’ll be met with a warm and personal response .

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
