About me
Hi, I'm Suzi. Here is a little about who I am and how I work.
Feeling comfortable with your counsellor is one of the most significant factors in successful therapy, which is why I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation - giving you the opportunity to see how we might work together, and to decide if I'm the right person to support you.
Beyond private practice, my work has extended to voluntary counselling with MIND, Priscilla Bacon Hospice, and The Big C. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of the human experience - and our remarkable capacity to find meaning and resilience, even in the most difficult of times. My own life experience has given me a particular empathy for those facing life's harder passages - especially those rooted in loss, trauma, and the quieter struggles that can shape how we see ourselves and our place in the world.
Before training as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, my career took a varied path - from working with adults with learning disabilities, where I taught creative arts and supported personal growth, to a career as a photographic agent in London, representing photographers and championing identity, visibility and self-expression in the workplace. Both roles, in their own way, were rooted in supporting people to find their voice, develop confidence and move towards greater autonomy - values that remain at the heart of how I work today.
Our identities, life experiences and the communities we belong to are all part of who we are, and I welcome and honour those differences fully in my work. I bring warmth and authenticity, offering a space that feels welcoming and safe. I believe it is in being truly seen - wholly and without judgement - that healing finds its beginning.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
