About me
Hi, I’m Suzanne, a fully qualified and accredited integrative counsellor. My approach is rooted in a rich blend of theories that explore human development, relationships and the many ways we make sense of our experiences. I believe that no single model can fully capture the complexity of who we are or who we can become, so I draw from a range of therapeutic perspectives to meet each person as an individual.
I work in private practice with both adults and children, and I also provide counselling within schools, supporting pupils in mainstream and special educational settings. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the emotional, social and developmental challenges that can arise at different stages of life.
My interest in psychotherapy grew from my own journey of self‑discovery, which has included individual and group therapy, working with diverse people and settings, and ongoing professional training and study. These experiences continue to shape the way I work and the value I place on creating a safe, respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
As a counsellor, I offer both time‑limited therapy and open‑ended work, depending on what feels most helpful for you. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or looking for space to explore yourself more deeply, I aim to provide a warm, grounded environment where you can reflect, grow and move toward greater wellbeing.
How can counselling help
Therapeutic work involves listening, understanding, exploration, and support. This can help, to reflect on your experience, and working together to unravel thoughts and feelings that can cause you to feel stuck, confused, distressed, or disturbed. It can also be a place for looking at immediate issues in a new light, but above all, I can provide a unique space in which you can share your innermost issues in an environment that is safe and supportive but above all confidential. With younger clients I often work using creative play and art.
Although I am not able to diagnose neuro-diversity, I do see many clients with ADHD, ODD and Autism and I am often able to spot signs of possible neuro-diversity.
Sessions are Face to Face, on Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, or telephone.
I offer a free, no obligation, 15-minute telephone or video consultation to help you decide whether I'm the right counsellor for you. Please call me on 07926719329 or email me to book an appointment.
What to expect in your first session
In our initial assessment, I’ll take some basic personal details and talk you through the therapy contract so you know exactly how I work and what to expect. We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our sessions together. This first meeting is also an important opportunity for us both to get a sense of whether we’re the right fit. It matters that you feel comfortable with me and that the space feels supportive for you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
