About me

I'm Suzanne - originally from Northern Ireland, I now live and work in Hastings, both in person and online across the UK.

I believe you already hold the answers within you. My role isn't to tell you what to do but I will help you explore what’s going on in your life, understand patterns that might be holding you back, and help you find a way forward that feels right for you.

I’m an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor and welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities. I work both short-term and long-term depending on what you need; this is something we can discuss in our initial chat.

I have particular experience supporting people with loss in its many forms – bereavement, relationship endings, life transitions, and the quieter losses that can affect our sense of identity or direction. I also work with neurodiversity, particularly ADHD and OCD, as well as self-esteem and self-worth, helping you build a kinder relationship with yourself.

Starting counselling can feel really daunting, especially if it’s your first time. I remember how nerve-wracking my own first session felt, so I aim to make the process as calm, supportive and straightforward as possible. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of whatever is going on for you.

Sessions with me are conversational and reflective. You might bring something specific you want to talk about, or arrive not quite sure where to start — both are completely welcome, and we can work out where to go throughout our time together.  I'm will always have a non obligation video chat with you in advance of starting to see if we could work well together and to explain how sessions work.

Who I work with

I work with adults (18+) who may be:

  • Experiencing loss in all forms and bereavement
  • Navigating relationship breakdown or life transitions
  • Managing low self-esteem or self-worth
  • Trying to understand and find ways of working with Neurodiversity
  • Feeling stuck in patterns or behaviours that no longer serve them
  • Feeling overwhelmed by life or experiencing anxiety
  • Questioning their identity, belonging, or life direction

You don’t need to be in crisis to come to counselling. Some people reach out because something painful has happened; others come because they want to understand themselves better or make changes in their lives.

Please note I offer introductory video calls which can be arranged by booking through my website or contacting me.
