About me
I'm a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I work with you in a collaborative and flexible way, adapting how we work to meet your specific individual needs. I believe therapy is most effective within a safe and trusting relationship and where it reflects your needs, preferences and goals. In our sessions we will work together drawing from different therapeutic approaches to find what feels most helpful for you. I have a keen interest in trauma and adopt a trauma informed approach to my practice.
I offer both online and face to face counselling for adults and young adults aged 16+. Creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space is central to my work, and I am mindful of how past experiences can influence the present.
My background is in the charity sector, where I have worked with a wide range of people. Alongside my counselling practice, I currently manage a youth mental health charity supporting young people and am extremely passionate about making mental health support accessible. I care deeply about supporting people to become their best selves, whatever that looks like for them.
For me, counselling is about giving yourself some space - a place where you can slow down, take a breath, reflect, and feel truly heard. Together, we can explore what’s going on for you, work through difficulties your are experiencing and begin to try making sense of what might currently feel confusing or overwhelming. I work alongside my clients, supporting them as they navigate life and their own journeys towards healing and feeling better.
My work is pluralistic and trauma-informed, drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
If you are interested in working with me I offer a free 20 minute initial conversation to see if we would be a good fit to work together. During this we can chat about the things that you would like to explore in therapy and I can explain more about how I work. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is key to successful outcomes in therapy, this initial conversation will hopefully help you to decide if it feels the right fit for you.
