About me
Hello, my name is Su and I am a qualified Psychotherapist based in the heart of Liverpool City Centre, with over 10 years of therapeutic experience. I facilitate a space where together we can explore your feelings and thoughts about yourself and how they can be connected to events in the past, the present and the future.
You may feel 'I want to change my life' and you're not sure what needs to change or even where to begin. Through our exploration you can navigate your internal world, seeing the different parts of you that need to speak, be heard and be validated. This can include childhood experiences, relationships, career and how you feel about yourself.
I work at your pace, with what you bring to sessions. There might be feelings about yourself that you have wanted to say out loud for a long time.
I believe that it takes a lot of courage to take the first steps into therapy, whether you're having therapy for the first time or continuing the therapeutic journey after a break.
My approach is a mixture of deep empathic listening, compassion, somatic sensations, trauma informed, practical ideas/education and creative explorations to bring the mind, body and spirit together, in one holistic healing process. In this way we are connecting the mind back to the body.
So about me,
I am currently offering online therapy and telephone therapy and if you are unsure if this is the right approach for you please email and we can arrange a consultation.
I offer short-term and ongoing therapeutic support.
I would invite you to contact me, if you feel that the way I work could support your individual journey, away from those things that you may be struggling with and towards revealing a different you.
I offer a free 20 minute video or telephone call, to see if what we can work together.
If you want to find out more please feel free to contact me via email or alternatively you can text me.
I will aim to respond to messages within 24 hours.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have supported clients as a therapist for over ten years both in organisations and in my own practice, with experience in a whole range of different fields. I have worked within organisations that have supported people with lack of confidence, anxiety, depression, stress, low self esteem, childhood trauma and relationship struggles.
I have specialised in the last four years in supporting people who have been subjected to rape and sexual abuse. The therapy focussed on complex trauma and PTSD symptoms such as flashbacks, dissociation and working safely with the body.
I offer talking therapy and I also facilitate creative sessions. This supports you to explore your life if you feel that talking about yourself is very hard for you at the moment. Different forms of art are gentle but powerful ways to express yourself.
I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and can offer sessions for a variety of different issues, including anxiety, depressions, phobias, weight loss, weight gain, stopping smoking, change of lifestyle, self confidence and almost any changes you can imagine for yourself. Please contact me for more information.
I am a HCPC registered Dramatherapist, which is arts psychotherapy. Through creative play we can build relationship, trust and give expression to those parts of self that may struggle to use words.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I offer Clinical Hypnotherapy, which is a way of working with those behaviours, thoughts about self or habits that no longer serve you. You can experience a treatment for anxiety and depression symptom reduction. Changing a habit like stopping smoking and eating healthy amongst many others. Exploring what you want to gain in life, more confidence, effective public speaking, being able to work without procrastination. Clinical Hypnotherapy can be tailored for what you want to change or gain in your life.
I offer Rewind Technique, which is an intervention to work with trauma related flashbacks and nightmares. The technique processes flashbacks so that you no longer experience them. This can be used as a stand alone intervention but we review three weeks after.
