I am a qualified accredited counsellor with 23 years experience working with young people, adults, couples and families.
During my 23 years of continuous practice I have developed specialisms in family counselling, addiction and complex mental health. I have worked extensively with anxiety and depression and psychological trauma stemming from abuse.
I offer a confidential non-judgemental counselling service for children, teenagers, individual adults, couples and families. I offer a regular space and time for you to explore any issues/problems that may be causing you stress or anxiety and help you find new ways to live your life more effectively.

I have 23 years experience of working in the Voluntary Sector with individual clients from age 4 upwards. I have worked for Relate, NICAS, Threshold, Contact, Cruse, Carecall and Nexus and have gained a broad range of experience working with all relationships (couples, parent child, siblings), addiction, self harm and suicide, anxiety and depression, sexual abuse and bereavement.
I have helped clients to resolve underlying causes for symptomatic behaviours and to find the resources and coping strategies to live life unburdened by the past.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer each new client an initial consultation session (30 minute session) free of charge with no obligation. This will allow us to discuss your needs and work out if counselling is the right option for you.
Subsequent sessions: £45 (50 minute session)
Concessions apply to low, or unwaged and can be discussed at the initial consultation.
Supervision - £50 (90 minute session)
Reduced fees for student counsellors requiring supervision or personal therapy
