About me
I provide a safe space where you can share what may be troubling you, or simply there is something you may wish to explore. I understand coming to counselling can be scary and strange, especially if this is new, and so we can take it at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I respect my clients and trust in your process, as I believe you are the expert in your own world. I aim to support you by welcoming everything you wish to share without being judged and offering a space for you to be heard.
I have experience of working with people with a range of emotional issues .I am happy to have a brief conversation over the phone if this is something you would like in the first instance. Feel free to contact me to see if I can help you.
In the first session we can also explore whether you wish to attend for short term therapy or open ended sessions. It is important for both of us that we feel comfortable working with each other. Sessions can be ended when you would like to and there is no obligation to stay for a set number of sessions.
I also offer sessions via video counselling and telephone counselling.
I provide therapy to clients usually on a weekly basis (the same time on the same day each week) and I also offer therapy to clients who require flexibility within the weekly sessions and timings.
I am a UKCP qualified and registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been providing counselling and psychotherapy to clients since 2014. I have experience of working with clients of varied issues and mainly my work is with adults, although I have had some experience working with children.
I have a lot of personal and professional experience with working with clients who work shifts or who require therapy on a flexible basis.
I have worked with clients with alcohol and drug misuse. I have also worked with a Charity who provide support for those suffering with infertility or baby loss during pregnancy or soon after birth.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
