About us
Grief can stop you in your tracks, so you can’t focus on work, friends, family or anything else. Or, you can be months or years later and left feeling like you never really grieved but somehow should have. Either way it can leave you feeling lost with no one around you who understands or is willing to meet you where you are. That’s where I come in.
Loss is about losing more than family. Losing your job, your home, your identity or pets can hit us just as hard. Sometimes we lose everything all at once and it’s too much to even register. Whatever the loss, I can help.
Grief work usually includes a host of other issues including family dynamics, self image & confidence, anxiety & guilt, so no matter what your issue is, even none grief work, I've probably heard it before and can help you.
Choosing a counsellor is hard. My website will give you a better idea of who I am, how I work, and what I offer. You can have a free 30 minute appointment to know me better and discuss how I’ll work with you and use my expertise & experience to help you move forward. Get in touch and I will guide you through the next steps.
Training, qualifications & experience
My journey into counselling begin in 2012, qualifying with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2017. Since then I have been a bereavement counsellor, a general counsellor and have volunteered my time as well as starting my own private practice in order to reach as many people as possible. I now work full time as a counsellor or working in the field of mental health.
Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
